Colored Polyurethane

Environment: For best results, apply in an environment above 68 degrees. Do not subject CrystaLac® Colored Polyurethane to freezing temperatures.

Preparation: 

1. Make sure it is applied over thoroughly dried oil or water-based stains, shellac, lacquer, polyurethane or acrylic, if using those. 
2. If recoating over an old finish, scuff sand first and remove any surface contaminants such as dirt, waxes or polishes.

Application: 

1. Apply 3-5 coats for a beautiful, protective finish. More coats may be added based on preference.
2. It is not necessary to sand between each coat. All CrystaLac Top Coats will bond to the prior coat. 

Dry Time: Colored Polyurethane is typically dry to the touch in 30 minutes to an hour. 

Recoat Time: Allow 2 to 4 hours of dry time between coats.

Helpful tips:

1. Do Not use stearated sandpaper or tack cloths. Do Not freeze. Do Not apply below 60 degrees.
2. Do Not thin or clean with lacquer solvents or mineral spirits. Use soap and water for clean-up.

• Store at room temperature in a dry place, out of direct sunlight.
• Do not subject the product to freezing or hot temperatures.
• CrystaLac products have a shelf life of 5 years after opening.
• Use in an environment above 68ºF.

• Keep out of reach of children.
• Do not allow children to use the product unsupervised.
• If using a spray application method, use an OSHA approved mask and wear proper eye protection.
